Black Travel Summit met with Clé Hunnigan, founder of Wind Collective on April 5th to find out a little bit more about what they do and how they contribute to the Black Travel Industry!
Here are some key notes from the interview…
What is Wind Collective’s mission?
The Wind Collective team travel around the world and host people from across the globe on our group trips, monthly, with a big focus on cultural immersion and creating content.
What sparked your passion travel and create such amazing content?
Honestly, I feel like the best businesses are the businesses that come from what is most natural to you or from things that you want to explore. A few years ago, I had my own dealing with life and coming to faith and a big part of that was travel. Finding balance in my life again took me hitchhiking in the Middle East, because I was obsessed with people’s stories…
When did the journey with Wind Collective begin?
In terms of the business that pays taxes, that started a year and half ago. The vision for this, however, was birthed around 7 years ago… I remember when we first started telling stories. I went to the Middle East to do that and started with Journalism because that was in my head.. Then we traveled more and more to places like South America and began, not only writing stories, but taking photos too…
