Black Travel Summit 2023 (Voyage in Color)

This is our 2nd annual global summit and three-day celebration of Black culture in travel, taking place October 20-22, 2023!

Travel Indoors Live Sessions

Waiting for your next vacay? So are we, but, you don’t have to wait around to travel… Join us for our digital sessions titled ‘Travel Indoors’ where once a month we get together with a variety of travel influencers, industry professionals, and more as we discuss a variety of topics. Topics include the Black experience while traveling, ways to create and market your brand successfully, making a living while traveling, growing the Black travel industry, and more! There are multiple dates to choose from, so make sure to RSVP!

Black Travel Summit 2022 (Voyage in Color)

This was our annual multi-day celebration of the African Diaspora in travel! We did the thing in Downtown Miami, Brickell, and on the Beach with several days filled with workshops, speaker segments, a Black-owned travel pop-up expo, culturally immersive experiences, parties, and more! We learned, networked, experienced, and took home more than swag!

Stay Fly

“Stay Fly,” the final instalment of our mini-summits, was our luxury-themed hybrid event including Black professionals from different parts of the luxury space taking place at the Hyatt Centric in Brickell. From luxury aviation, to luxury vacation property investment and self-care in the Black community. While we talked and supported Black-owned businesses, a live body-art installation took place and we vibed to the luxurious sounds of neo-soul singer Dyna Edyne.

Tribe

“Tribe” was our tribal-themed hybrid travel fete and a day filled with travel influencer/professional speed-networking, an Drumming and Afro-Dance performance, a Black-owned expo, Black-owned travel-inspired cocktails, and Ethiopian hors d’oeuvres and Coffee Ceremony, all taking place at the Center for Black Innovation in Overtown!

Catch Flights

“Catch Flights” was our first mini-summit and inspiration to get back out there, safely, during the pandemic, taking place in the Design District. We had segments on diversifying tourism marketing, starting a travel business, travel & technology, and creating space for Black entrepreneurs to own tourism-based companies. Initiated with a Hiplet performance, we talked, danced, supported Black-owned, and celebrated Black culture in travel!

TRAVEL INDOORS Monthly Live Sessions

‘Travel Indoors’ began at the onset of the pandemic to provide a platform and a form of relief to discuss topics around travel, while traveling was restricted. We have met with a variety of leaders in the Black travel industry such as, influencers, entrepreneurs, travel agents, tour operators, and many more, to discuss their experiences as entrepreneurs of color, their advice on joining the tourism sector professionally, side hustles for people just wanting the freedom to travel, and more!
