Week #4 of Black Business Month is here and Black Travel Summit is going all out with a bang (or glitch) by highlighting Black-owned businesses that have made an impact in both travel and tech!
This week is our final week for highlighting group trip organizers and tech companies that make planning a breeze (or non-existent)!
Black-Owned Travel Groups to Support
Malaika Lue, a luxury travel designer and connoisseur, founded Jet Set Squad in 2020. Mailaika is dedicated to using travel as a tool for happiness, and plans trips around this.
Black Girls on the Go is a travel organization that empowers women of color and is the first to offer travel as a compliment to therapy!
Travelin Brothas is a travel group that builds relationships and opportunities to help achieve success in our communities. They offer many trips year-round for men of color to build bonds and develop a support system.
Black-Owned Tech Companies to Support in Travel
Squad Trip is a software company that collects and manages group trips for travelers all over the world. Envisioned by Stevon & Darrien, the founders have utilized Squad Trip to help with 10 million in travel bookings and in turn have provided over 100k in grants and loans to small Black-owned businesses.
Sebiya helps B&B hosts offer a contactless app while monetizing additional services from pre-arrival to departure. This all-in-one system empowers vacation rental companies with the technology needed to provide full-service travel experiences for their guests digitally.
